Store Policies

Because We Care

Welcome to True North Forge, a small Scottish workshop creating handmade rings and memorial jewellery using carefully selected materials including Titanium, Black Zirconium, Damascus Steel, Stainless Steel and Silver.

Every piece is handmade to order with a focus on craftsmanship, durability and personal service. These policies are designed to be fair, transparent and easy to understand so you can order with confidence.

Agreement to Policies

By placing an order through our website, you confirm that you have read, understood and agreed to these Store Policies.

Order Cancellations

As every piece is handmade to order, production often begins shortly after your order is placed.

If you need to cancel an order, please contact us as soon as possible at hello@truenorthforge.co.uk. Once production has begun, cancellations may not be possible due to the bespoke nature of our jewellery and the work already invested in creating your piece.

Ring Sizing

We offer a complimentary metal ring sizer with UK ring orders and can hold production until your final size is confirmed. We also recommend reading our sizing guide before ordering.

Ring size can naturally vary depending on temperature, time of day, ring width and personal fit preference. For the most accurate sizing, we recommend professional sizing by a jeweller, sending us an existing well-fitting ring for measurement, or providing calliper readings from fixed metal gauges.

We cannot accept measurements from flexible plastic sizers or adjustable multi-ring sizers due to accuracy concerns.

Alternative Metal Ring Resizing

Our rings cannot be resized once completed due to the way they are made.

If your ring does not fit after following our sizing guidance, we offer a remake service at 50% of the original cost when arranged within 14 days of receiving your ring. Refunds are only available if an item is found to be faulty.

Memorial Jewellery

Due to the highly personal nature of memorial jewellery, completed memorial pieces cannot be returned.

Please carefully check your ring size, engraving details, visible or hidden ashes selections and any personalisation choices before placing your order.

Minor colour variation may occur due to the handmade nature of memorial jewellery and the materials used. Every effort is made to achieve a beautiful, durable and lasting finish. Any unused ashes supplied will be respectfully returned alongside your completed jewellery wherever possible.

Bespoke Handmade Items

Every True North Forge piece is handmade individually to your specifications rather than mass produced.

Please carefully review all sizing, engraving, finishes, profiles, inlays and personalisation details before confirming your order. Once production has begun, changes may no longer be possible.

Repolishing Service

We offer a professional repolishing service for True North Forge rings to help refresh the original finish and reduce signs of everyday wear.

The service costs £40 and includes professional refinishing, inspection of the ring and UK return shipping. Customers are responsible for shipping the ring to us. This service is available exclusively for rings originally made by True North Forge.

Returns Policy

Every piece is carefully inspected before dispatch.

We cannot accept returns where incorrect sizing was selected, the ring has been damaged after delivery, the item has been altered, worn excessively or custom made to your specifications.

Refunds or replacements are only offered where an item is found to be faulty.

Natural materials such as meteorite, fossil, wood, opal and stone will vary slightly in colour, pattern and texture. These variations are a natural part of the material and help make every ring unique.

As every piece is handmade to order, slight variations may occur and are considered part of the character of genuine handmade jewellery.

Under UK and EU consumer legislation, personalised and custom-made items are exempt from the standard cancellation and return period. As all True North Forge rings and memorial jewellery are handmade to order to customer specifications, these items are generally non-returnable unless found to be faulty.

Shipping Information

We offer free UK 48 hr tracked delivery on all orders.

Shipping upgrades, including Royal Mail Tracked 24 and express making and shipping are available at checkout.

We currently ship rings internationally to selected countries using tracked delivery services. International delivery estimates do not include customs processing times, which vary between countries.

Memorial jewellery is currently available within the UK only due to varying international regulations surrounding ashes and memorial materials.

International pricing may vary between regions due to taxes, duties, currency conversion and market conditions. Prices displayed to customers are determined by the market selected on our website.

Production & Delivery Times

Most handmade rings are completed within approximately 16 days before dispatch.

If we are awaiting ring size confirmation, production may take slightly longer. More complex designs, including memorial jewellery, heirloom rings and Superconductor rings, may occasionally require additional time.

Express Production Upgrade

We offer an Express Production Upgrade for £50 on eligible items. This service prioritises your order within our workshop schedule and aims to complete your jewellery within approximately 7 days. Delivery times are additional and depend on the shipping service selected at checkout.

Delivery Estimates

UK orders typically arrive within 1 to 2 business days after dispatch depending on the shipping service selected.

International orders typically arrive within 10 to 14 business days after dispatch, although customs processing may occasionally extend delivery times.
