Terms of service

True North Forge – Terms of Service

Welcome to True North Forge. By accessing or using our website (www.truenorthforge.co.uk) and purchasing from us, you agree to the following Terms of Service.

1. About Us

True North Forge is a UK-based jewellery business specialising in handcrafted rings, memorial jewellery, natural inlay jewellery, and bespoke designs.

All items are individually handmade to order in our Scottish workshop. By placing an order, you confirm that you are at least 18 years old or have the permission of a parent or guardian.

2. Orders and Payment

All prices are listed in GBP (£).

We reserve the right to amend pricing, product specifications, delivery options, and availability without notice.

Payment is required in full before production begins.

Once production has started, bespoke, personalised, engraved, memorial, or made-to-order items cannot be cancelled.

Order confirmation emails are sent automatically after purchase. If you do not receive confirmation, please contact us at hello@truenorthforge.co.uk.

3. Handmade Nature of Our Jewellery

Every piece we create is individually handmade.

As a result, slight variations may occur between photographs, samples, and finished pieces. These variations are not considered faults and form part of the character of handmade jewellery.

Natural materials including, but not limited to, meteorite, opal, dinosaur fossil, wood, stone, antler, bone, shell, and other organic materials will naturally vary in colour, pattern, texture, and appearance.

No two rings will ever be identical.

4. Ring Sizing

Customers are responsible for providing an accurate ring size.

We provide a complimentary ring sizer with many of our rings and strongly recommend confirming your size before production begins.

Wider rings may fit differently to narrow rings, and comfort preferences vary between individuals.

Where an incorrect size has been supplied, we offer a remake service at 50% of the original ring price once the original ring has been returned.

5. Memorial Jewellery

Memorial jewellery is created using ashes, hair, fur, breastmilk, fabric, flowers, or other sentimental inclusions supplied by customers.

By sending materials to us, you confirm that you have the legal right to provide them.

While every care is taken throughout the process, memorial jewellery is handcrafted and may contain slight variations.

Due to the highly personal and bespoke nature of memorial jewellery, completed memorial pieces cannot be returned or refunded unless faulty.

6. Customer-Supplied Materials

Where customers provide heirloom metals, sentimental jewellery, stones, or other materials, we will assess their suitability before use.

Some materials may prove unsuitable during the manufacturing process due to contamination, brittleness, unknown composition, or structural issues.

If supplied materials cannot be used, workshop and labour charges may still apply where work has already been undertaken.

7. Shipping and Delivery

UK orders are dispatched using tracked delivery services.

International shipping options are available at checkout.

Production time estimates are provided as guidance only and are not guaranteed delivery dates.

Delays caused by postal services, customs authorities, adverse weather, strikes, or circumstances outside our control are not the responsibility of True North Forge.

International customers are responsible for any import duties, taxes, customs charges, or local fees imposed by their country.

8. Returns, Refunds and Exchanges

As the majority of our jewellery is made to order, personalised, or bespoke, returns are generally only accepted where an item is faulty or not as described.

Memorial jewellery, engraved jewellery, custom-made jewellery, and bespoke commissions are non-returnable except in cases of manufacturing fault.

For full details, please refer to our Returns & Refunds Policy.

9. Product Photography

We make every effort to accurately represent our jewellery through photographs and descriptions.

However, colours, finishes, opals, natural materials, and inlays may appear differently depending on screen settings, lighting conditions, and natural variation within the material itself.

Product photographs should be considered representative examples rather than exact replicas.

10. Intellectual Property

All photographs, designs, text, logos, product descriptions, graphics, and website content remain the intellectual property of True North Forge.

No content may be copied, reproduced, distributed, or used without prior written permission.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, True North Forge shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, or special damages arising from the use of our products or website.

Nothing within these Terms affects your statutory rights under UK consumer law.

12. Changes to These Terms

We reserve the right to amend these Terms of Service at any time.

Updated versions will take effect immediately upon publication on our website.
