Getting Your Ring Size Right the First Time
Buying a ring online can feel a bit tricky when you are not 100% sure of your size. At True North Forge, we want this to be simple and stress-free so that your ring feels perfect from the moment you put it on.
Step 1 – Use Our Free Ring SizerEvery order comes with the option of a free ring sizer.
Tick the box at checkout and we will send you our 3 mm wide metal gauge before making your ring. Your order will be held until you confirm your size.
For wider rings (over 3 mm) you must stack gauges:
6 mm = 2 gauges
7–8 mm = 3 gauges
Let us know which gauge combination felt best. ⚠️ Please note: we cannot be responsible for sizing errors where gauges were not stacked as advised.
Other Accurate Ways to Find Your Size
Visit a local jeweller – most high street jewellers will measure your finger for free. Ask them for the internal diameter in millimetres as well as the UK letter size.
Send us a ring that fits – if you already own a ring that feels right, you can post it to us so we can measure it.
Use a metal ring gauge you own – if you have one, you can send it to us or provide the exact internal measurement from callipers.
What Not to UseWe cannot accept sizes from flexible plastic sizers, printable charts, or adjustable multi-ring tools as they are not accurate enough.
Timing MattersFinger size changes with temperature, hydration, and time of day. Check your size at different times before confirming it.
Our Sizing PolicyEvery ring we make is bespoke and handcrafted to order, so:
We cannot resize an existing ring – a new ring must be made.
If you need a different size after delivery, we offer a remake at 50% of the original cost.
You will be responsible for return postage if sending anything back to us.
