Titanium Dinosaur Fossil Inlay Ring with Gold Accents
This Titanium ring features genuine fossilised dinosaur material and 24ct gold accents set within a fine inlay channel and sealed in clear resin to create a striking and durable band. Handmade to order in our Scottish workshop, it combines modern Titanium with one of the most fascinating materials on Earth.
This ring contains genuine dinosaur fossil, a material formed over millions of years as ancient bone gradually mineralised within the earth. While often referred to as “dinosaur bone”, the original organic material has long since been replaced by minerals through fossilisation. What remains is a preserved structure of prehistoric life, making every inlay completely unique and a remarkable connection to deep natural history.
A Natural Contrast
The addition of 24ct gold accents introduces a quiet contrast within the inlay. Applied sparingly, the gold sits naturally within the fossil structure, catching the light without overpowering the material. The result is a subtle highlight that enhances the depth and pattern of the fossil rather than dominating it.
If you are looking for a version without gold accents, you can find it here.
Crafted in Detail
The fossil fragments are carefully placed within a fine 1mm or statement 2mm channel and preserved beneath jewellery-grade resin. This protects the ancient material while allowing the natural structure, colour variation and delicate gold accents to remain clearly visible.
The finished surface is smooth, durable and designed for comfortable everyday wear.
Because fossil material forms as minerals gradually replace the original structure over millions of years, each piece displays unique natural patterns and colour variation. Combined with the organic placement of gold, no two rings will ever look exactly the same.
Genuine Dinosaur Fossil Material
This ring is available using genuine fossil material sourced from well known fossil locations.
Isle of Wight Dinosaur Fossil (Unidentified Fragments)
These fossil fragments originate from the Early Cretaceous formations of the Isle of Wight in the United Kingdom, one of the most significant dinosaur fossil sites in Europe. Dating back around 125 million years, these deposits contain remains from several species that once roamed the region.
Due to the fragmentary nature of these fossils, individual pieces cannot always be linked to a specific species. However, discoveries from the Isle of Wight are commonly associated with dinosaurs such as Iguanodon and other herbivorous and carnivorous species from the period.
Iguanodon Dinosaur Fossil (Isle of Wight)
The Iguanodon was a large herbivorous dinosaur that lived approximately 125 million years ago. Fossils from this species have been widely discovered on the Isle of Wight, making it one of the most important locations for studying this iconic dinosaur.
Recognised for its distinctive thumb spike and powerful build, Iguanodon was one of the first dinosaurs ever scientifically described. The fossil material used in this ring represents a genuine connection to prehistoric Britain.
Triceratops Dinosaur Fossil
This material originates from fossil beds in South Dakota, USA, where Triceratops fossils from the late Cretaceous period have been discovered. Triceratops lived approximately 68 million years ago and is one of the most recognisable dinosaurs ever to walk the Earth.
Known for its three horns and large frill, it was a herbivore that likely used its horns for defence. The fossilised material used in this ring preserves natural internal structure formed over millions of years.
Titanium Built for Everyday Wear
Titanium is chosen for its strength, lightweight feel and corrosion resistance. It is hypoallergenic and comfortable for daily wear, making it an ideal metal for a ring designed to last a lifetime.
The contrast between modern Titanium, ancient fossil material and subtle gold accents creates a band that feels both contemporary and deeply connected to natural history.
