There is no production line at True North Forge.

Every ring is handmade to order in our Scottish workshop by Graeme using traditional workshop tools, carefully selected materials and a hands-on process shaped around the individual ring being made.

We do not import mass-produced rings or rebrand factory-made jewellery. Each piece is individually crafted, sized and finished by hand using materials including Titanium, Black Zirconium, Damascus Steel and British-made metals where available.

Handmade To Order

Every ring begins as raw material rather than a pre-made blank pulled from a shelf. From shaping and profiling to finishing and sizing, the process is carried out in-house in our workshop.

This allows us to create rings in a wide range of widths, profiles and finishes while also accommodating more individual requests where possible.

Rather than offering one standard fit, each ring is made specifically for the customer who ordered it.

Made Using Real Workshop Processes

Our rings are shaped, machined and finished using workshop equipment including lathes, hand-finishing tools and traditional metalworking techniques.

Some finishes, such as hammered textures, are created entirely by hand, meaning no two rings are ever completely identical. Even cleaner satin or polished finishes still go through multiple stages of hand-finishing and refinement before leaving the workshop.

The result is a ring that feels personal and individually made rather than uniform and mass produced.

Built Around The Material

Different metals behave differently in the workshop, which is why materials are selected carefully depending on the design and finish required.

Titanium offers exceptional strength while remaining lightweight and comfortable for everyday wear. Black Zirconium allows for darker finishes created through heat treatment rather than coating. Damascus Steel develops its distinctive layered pattern through the forging process itself.

Working directly with these materials allows us to shape each ring around the design rather than relying on generic factory settings or pre-made moulds.

Every ring is handmade in Scotland and finished in our workshop before being sent to the customer. We believe there is value in knowing who made your ring, how it was made and where it came from.

For many customers, that connection matters just as much as the finished piece itself.

A More Personal Process

Because each ring is made to order, we can often adjust details such as width, profile, finish and certain design elements to better suit the customer. Whether that means a slightly heavier profile, a softer finish or incorporating meaningful materials into the design, the process remains flexible in a way that mass production simply cannot offer.

This approach takes more time, but it allows every ring to retain the character of a handmade piece rather than feeling anonymous or factory produced.
