Memorial Gift Ideas for Christmas, Made With Care
Christmas is a season of gathering and reflection. For many families it is also a time when the absence of a loved one feels especially close. Choosing a memorial gift can feel tender and sometimes overwhelming. Our work at True North Forge is to make that choice gentle, safe, and full of care.
Why families trust us
We know that sending something so precious through the post can feel daunting. Many families tell us they hesitated before taking that step. That is why we have created a process that is secure, respectful, and transparent from the very beginning.
How our process works
-
We send a collection kit to you. Inside is a labelled waterproof pouch, clear instructions, and a tracked return envelope.
-
You send a small sample of ashes, hair, or fur back to us in the envelope. It is tracked at every stage so you always know where it is.
-
When your parcel arrives, we log it immediately, let you know it has arrived safely with us and store it safely until it is used.
-
Your jewellery is handmade in our Scottish workshop by Graeme, with every step carried out carefully by hand.
-
Before it leaves us, each piece is cleaned, polished, checked, and packaged in protective wrapping. Delivery is tracked so you know exactly when it will arrive.
Families often say in their reviews that the process felt safe, respectful, and easier than they imagined.
Gift ideas that bring comfort
There is no one right way to give a memorial gift. The best choice is the one that feels true to the person who will receive it.
-
Necklaces: A necklace is worn close to the heart and is one of our most cherished gifts. Circle lockets and heart inspired designs are gentle choices for gifts.
-
Rings: A memorial ring can become part of everyday life, holding a loved one in a quiet but constant way.
-
Keepsakes: Small resin hearts or pocket angels can be held in the palm or tucked in a pocket. They make thoughtful stocking gifts and can be shared with family members.
-
Pet memorials: Pets are family too. Ashes and hair capsules or small keepsakes can honour a companion who is missed at Christmas.
-
Gift cards: If you would like to give something meaningful but are not sure which piece will feel right, a gift card allows your loved one to choose in their own time. Our gift cards are delivered instantly by email and have no expiry date.
