The Bannock Burn Stainless Steel Ring

Classic in form, confident in detail the Bannock Burn ring brings understated refinement to a time-honoured silhouette. With its raised centre and two open-set channels, this piece balances subtle structure with timeless appeal. Whether you choose a satin finish for a muted sheen or a mirror polish for bold shine, the Bannock Burn offers quiet elegance that never goes out of style.

Handmade from high-grade marine stainless steel, it’s a durable, versatile choice that’s ready for a lifetime of wear.

Crafted to Endure

We use 316L marine-grade Sheffield stainless steel, a material trusted for its superior strength, corrosion resistance, and hypoallergenic properties. It won’t discolour, or rust, even with daily wear. This makes the Bannock Burn an ideal option for those with active hands or working in demanding environments.

A Comfortable Fit

The Bannock Burn’s raised central band is framed by two fine open channels, giving it depth and definition while maintaining a clean, classic feel. Available in both polished and satin finishes, this design adapts easily to both modern and traditional styles. Sizes range from I to Z+6 and widths from 4mm to 8mm, so it’s easy to find your perfect match.

Handmade Just for You

Every ring is made to order in our UK workshop and can be engraved with a name, message, or date that holds meaning for you. Whether it’s for a wedding, milestone, or simply because it feels right, this is a ring that’s personal from the start.

The True North Promise

Your order includes a complimentary ring sizer to help you get the right fit, along with free UK shipping and engraving on most rings. If you’re unsure which finish or width is right for you, we’re always happy to help you choose with confidence.

Ordering & Making Your Ring

What is the best alternative metal for a wedding ring?

There is no single best metal. It depends on your preference for weight, finish and appearance. Titanium is extremely lightweight, Damascus Steel features unique layered patterns, Black Zirconium offers a deep black finish and Stainless Steel provides strength with a classic silver tone. You can compare all options in our Alternative Metal Wedding Rings Guide.

What is the thickness of the ring?

Our rings are crafted with an approximate thickness of 2 mm. This provides a balanced feel that is substantial enough for durability while remaining comfortable for everyday wear. Each ring is shaped and finished by hand, so there may be very slight variations, but all are designed to maintain a consistent and comfortable profile.

How can I check my size before ordering?

There are several ways to confirm your size: you can be measured at any jeweller and ask for the internal diameter, order a ring gauge yourself and let us know the result, use a ring that already fits and send it to us, or request one of our free ring sizers at checkout.
We’ll confirm any sizing details with you before we begin

What happens after I place my order?

After you order, we review your details and begin crafting your ring. If anything needs clarifying, we’ll contact you directly. Once complete, your ring is carefully packaged and sent via tracked UK delivery. You’ll receive tracking details as soon as it’s dispatched.

How long does it take to make a ring?

Most rings are ready within 2–3 weeks, but we recommend allowing 4 weeks before your wedding. Need it faster? Just let us know.

Is engraving included?

Engraving is always free. We can add names, dates, or even your own handwriting inside your wedding ring. To know more about handwriting engraving, take a look at this blog. . If the option is showing on the product listing, it is engravable.

Who actually makes my ring?

Every ring is made to order in our Scottish workshop by hand by Graeme, or G as he is known. We don’t outsource production or hold bulk stock. Your ring is crafted individually once your order is placed, then finished, checked and prepared for dispatch.

What are your return policies?

Because each ring is made to order in your chosen size and finish, returns are not available once production begins. We provide a complimentary ring sizer before crafting to ensure a confident fit.
