Bervie Damascus Steel Flat Ring

The Bervie is defined by detail.

Featuring our most condensed Damascus pattern, the grain remains consistently tight throughout the ring with no large openings or breaks. The result is a bold and highly detailed appearance that showcases the layered steel from every angle while maintaining a balanced and refined design.

Handmade to order in our Scottish workshop, each Bervie ring is individually crafted from layered Damascus steel and finished by hand by Graeme.

Not sure which Damascus pattern is right for you? We have created a dedicated guide explaining the differences between Esk, Bervie, Crynoch, Findon, Cowie and Dee, complete with photos and pattern comparisons.

A pattern rich in character

Bervie is our most tightly patterned Damascus design. The grain remains dense and uninterrupted throughout the ring, creating a strong visual presence while still retaining the natural movement that makes Damascus steel so distinctive.

The consistent pattern density gives Bervie a refined appearance that feels deliberate and confident. For those looking for maximum detail and pattern definition, Bervie is often the standout choice within the collection.

No two Damascus rings will ever be identical. Natural variation within the steel ensures every piece carries its own character and detail.

The flat profile provides clean, modern lines that allow the Damascus pattern to take centre stage. Its broad, uninterrupted surface showcases the full character of the steel while creating a contemporary and confident appearance.

Your choice of finish

Available in either polished or satin finish, the Bervie can be tailored to suit your preferred style.

A polished finish enhances contrast within the Damascus pattern, bringing out the detail and movement within the layered steel.

A satin finish offers a softer, more understated appearance while still allowing the natural grain of the Damascus steel to remain clearly visible.

Crafted to endure

Each ring is created using a high-quality blend of 304L and 316L stainless steels. The result is a durable Damascus steel designed for everyday wear, offering excellent corrosion resistance alongside the distinctive layered appearance that makes Damascus so recognisable.

The Bervie is completely nickel free, suitable for sensitive skin and designed not to tarnish or discolour your finger over time.

Handmade to order

Every Bervie ring is handmade by Graeme in our Scottish workshop and crafted specifically to your chosen size.

You can personalise your ring through your choice of width, finish and engraving.

Engraving can be added to the inside of the band. When selected, the interior of the ring is polished to ensure a clear inscription and comfortable finish against the skin.

The Bervie works particularly well as a wedding ring for those who appreciate intricate detail and strong visual character. Its dense, uninterrupted grain creates a distinctive appearance while maintaining a timeless and highly wearable feel.

Care

Your ring requires only simple care. Occasional cleaning with mild soap and water and drying with a soft cloth will keep it looking its best.

Ordering & Making Your Ring

What is the best alternative metal for a wedding ring?

There is no single best metal. It depends on your preference for weight, finish and appearance. Titanium is extremely lightweight, Damascus Steel features unique layered patterns, Black Zirconium offers a deep black finish and Stainless Steel provides strength with a classic silver tone. You can compare all options in our Alternative Metal Wedding Rings Guide.

What is the thickness of the ring?

Our rings are crafted with an approximate thickness of 2 mm. This provides a balanced feel that is substantial enough for durability while remaining comfortable for everyday wear. Each ring is shaped and finished by hand, so there may be very slight variations, but all are designed to maintain a consistent and comfortable profile.

How can I check my size before ordering?

There are several ways to confirm your size: you can be measured at any jeweller and ask for the internal diameter, order a ring gauge yourself and let us know the result, use a ring that already fits and send it to us, or request one of our free ring sizers at checkout.
We’ll confirm any sizing details with you before we begin

What happens after I place my order?

After you order, we review your details and begin crafting your ring. If anything needs clarifying, we’ll contact you directly. Once complete, your ring is carefully packaged and sent via tracked UK delivery. You’ll receive tracking details as soon as it’s dispatched.

How long does it take to make a ring?

Most rings are ready within 2–3 weeks, but we recommend allowing 4 weeks before your wedding. Need it faster? Just let us know.

Is engraving included?

Engraving is always free. We can add names, dates, or even your own handwriting inside your wedding ring. To know more about handwriting engraving, take a look at this blog. . If the option is showing on the product listing, it is engravable.

Who actually makes my ring?

Every ring is made to order in our Scottish workshop by hand by Graeme, or G as he is known. We don’t outsource production or hold bulk stock. Your ring is crafted individually once your order is placed, then finished, checked and prepared for dispatch.

What are your return policies?
