Engineer’s Facetted Ring – Stainless Steel or Titanium

Crafted by hand with purpose and precision, this Engineer’s Ring features bold, hand-cut facets in a satin matte finish, balanced with a polished centre for striking contrast. Each ring is individually finished — no two are identical.

This design was originally inspired by one of our customers, Simon M, an engineer whose quiet strength and attention to detail shaped more than just his profession. His wife lovingly nicknamed this ring “Maple” — a nod to its Canadian roots and the gentle strength it represents. What began as a personal commission has now become a lasting part of our collection, carrying with it the same meaning, respect, and love that first brought it to life.

Available in your choice of durable stainless steel or lightweight titanium, this ring is inspired by the traditional Engineer’s Iron Ring worn in Canada and the US as a symbol of ethical responsibility and craftsmanship. While our version is not affiliated with official institutions, it carries that same spirit of care, dedication, and accountability.

Traditionally, this style of ring is worn on the pinky finger of the dominant hand to serve as a daily reminder of one’s integrity, responsibility, and commitment to ethical engineering.
It also makes a striking, meaningful wedding band — bold, understated, and rich with symbolism.

✒️ Inspired by the Oath of the Engineer

“I am an Engineer. In my profession I take deep pride.
To it I owe solemn obligations...”

This ring draws from the values found in the Oath of the Engineer — a lifelong pledge to humility, responsibility, and service. Though not part of the official ceremony, our version honours its message through thoughtful craft and personal meaning. Looking for something lighter? Ordering & Making Your Ring

What Is the Best Alternative Metal for a Wedding Ring?

There is no single best metal. It depends on your preference for weight, finish and appearance. Titanium is extremely lightweight, Damascus Steel features unique layered patterns, Black Zirconium offers a deep black finish and Stainless Steel provides strength with a classic silver tone. You can compare all options in our Alternative Metal Wedding Rings Guide.

How can I check my size before ordering?

There are several ways to confirm your size: you can be measured at any jeweller and ask for the internal diameter, order a ring gauge yourself and let us know the result, use a ring that already fits and send it to us, or request one of our free ring sizers at checkout.
We’ll confirm any sizing details with you before we begin

What happens after I place my order?

After you order, we review your details and begin crafting your ring. If anything needs clarifying, we’ll contact you directly. Once complete, your ring is carefully packaged and sent via tracked UK delivery. You’ll receive tracking details as soon as it’s dispatched.

Most rings are ready within 2–3 weeks, but we recommend allowing 4 weeks before your wedding. Need it faster? Just let us know.

Is engraving included?

Engraving is always free. We can add names, dates, or even your own handwriting inside your wedding ring. Ifthe option is showing on the product listing, it is engravable.

Who actually makes my ring?

Every ring is made to order in our Scottish workshop by hand. We don’t outsource production or hold bulk stock. Your ring is crafted individually once your order is placed, then finished, checked and prepared for dispatch.

Because each ring is made to order in your chosen size and finish, returns are not available once production begins. We provide a complimentary ring sizer before crafting to ensure a confident fit.
