Engineer’s Ring – Facetted Stainless Steel or Titanium Ring

A modern take on the traditional engineering ring, designed for those who build, create, and solve.

This facetted Engineer’s Ring reflects precision, strength, and quiet confidence, with a structured form that catches the light across clean, geometric planes.

Handmade in Scotland, each ring is individually crafted to order, offering a refined alternative to traditional wedding bands or a meaningful standalone piece.

Crafted with Purpose

Each ring is handmade with care, featuring hand-cut facets in a satin matte finish, balanced with a polished centre line for contrast. Every piece is individually finished, meaning no two rings are ever exactly the same.

Material Choice

Available in your choice of durable Stainless Steel or lightweight Titanium, this ring is designed for everyday wear.

Stainless Steel offers strength and weight, while Titanium provides a lighter feel without compromising durability. Both materials are corrosion-resistant, low maintenance, and built to last.

A Ring with Meaning

This design was originally inspired by one of our customers, Simon M, an engineer whose thoughtful approach and attention to detail shaped more than just his work. His wife affectionately named this ring “Maple”, a nod to its Canadian roots and the quiet strength it represents.

What began as a personal commission has become a lasting part of our collection, carrying the same sense of purpose and respect.

Designed for Everyday Wear

Available in 6mm, 7mm, or 8mm widths, with UK sizes from J to Z+6, each ring features a comfort-fit interior for ease throughout the day.

Free engraving is included, allowing you to add a meaningful name, date, or message. A complimentary ring sizer is also provided, and we’ll hold production until your size is confirmed.

What is an Engineering Ring?

An engineering ring is traditionally worn as a symbol of responsibility, precision, and pride in one’s work. Most commonly associated with engineers in Canada and the United States, it represents a commitment to craftsmanship and accountability.

This modern interpretation keeps that spirit, while offering a more refined and wearable design. Whether worn as an engineer ring, a personal statement, or a wedding band, it carries the same meaning of integrity and purpose.

A Subtle Statement

Traditionally worn on the pinky finger of the dominant hand, an engineer’s ring serves as a daily reminder of integrity and responsibility.

This piece also works as a bold yet understated wedding band, promise ring, or personal statement for those who value durability, symbolism, and refined design.

The True North Forge Standard

Ordering & Making Your Ring

What is the best alternative metal for a wedding ring?

There is no single best metal. It depends on your preference for weight, finish and appearance. Titanium is extremely lightweight, Damascus Steel features unique layered patterns, Black Zirconium offers a deep black finish and Stainless Steel provides strength with a classic silver tone. You can compare all options in our Alternative Metal Wedding Rings Guide.

What is the thickness of the ring?

Our rings are crafted with an approximate thickness of 2 mm. This provides a balanced feel that is substantial enough for durability while remaining comfortable for everyday wear. Each ring is shaped and finished by hand, so there may be very slight variations, but all are designed to maintain a consistent and comfortable profile.

How can I check my size before ordering?

There are several ways to confirm your size: you can be measured at any jeweller and ask for the internal diameter, order a ring gauge yourself and let us know the result, use a ring that already fits and send it to us, or request one of our free ring sizers at checkout.
