Handmade to order in our Scottish workshop using premium alternative metals.

Kintsugi Titanium Ring with 24ct Gold Inlay

Beautifully imperfect. Made to be worn.

Inspired by the Japanese art of Kintsugi, where broken pottery is repaired with gold rather than concealing its cracks, this titanium ring celebrates the beauty found in imperfection.

Our Kintsugi Titanium Ring features a fracture-inspired pattern laser engraved into approximately one-third of the ring's circumference. The fine channels are filled with genuine 24ct gold powder and sealed beneath clear resin to protect the decorative detail.

A Different Kind of Gold Inlay

Unlike a traditional straight inlay channel, the design features irregular, branching lines inspired by repaired fractures. The gold pattern occupies approximately one-third of the band, creating a distinctive focal point while leaving the remaining titanium surface clean and uninterrupted.

We use genuine 24ct gold powder, not gold-coloured pigment or imitation metallic flakes.

Inspired by Kintsugi

Kintsugi is the traditional Japanese practice of repairing broken ceramics with lacquer and precious metal powder, often gold. Rather than hiding the damage, the repair becomes part of the object's beauty and history.

Our ring takes inspiration from this philosophy, with intentional engraved lines representing the idea that life's experiences and imperfections contribute to who we become. A meaningful choice for a wedding ring, anniversary or personal milestone.

Handmade in Scotland

Each ring begins as a solid titanium band, individually made to order by Graeme in our Aberdeenshire workshop. The fracture-inspired pattern is laser engraved into the flat exterior, creating fine channels ready for the gold detail. Katie carefully fills the engraved design with genuine 24ct gold powder before sealing it beneath clear resin.

Flat Profile with Two Finish Options

Currently available exclusively in a flat-profile titanium ring. Choose Polished Titanium for a bright, reflective finish or Satin Matte Titanium for a softer, muted appearance. Titanium is lightweight, corrosion resistant and hypoallergenic.

Sizing, Engraving and Delivery

Each ring is individually made to order in our Scottish workshop. A complimentary ring sizer is available before making begins. Standard internal engraving is included if selected, allowing a date, initials or short personal message. Free tracked UK delivery is included.

Caring for Your Kintsugi Ring

Clean gently with mild soap and lukewarm water, then dry with a soft cloth. Avoid abrasive cleaners and polishing compounds around the resin-sealed gold detail.

A celebration of imperfection, individuality and the beauty of every story.

Ordering & Making Your Ring

What is the best alternative metal for a wedding ring?

There is no single best metal. It depends on your preference for weight, finish and appearance. Titanium is extremely lightweight, Damascus Steel features unique layered patterns, Black Zirconium offers a deep black finish and Stainless Steel provides strength with a classic silver tone. You can compare all options in our Alternative Metal Wedding Rings Guide.

What is the thickness of the ring?

Our rings are crafted with an approximate thickness of 2 mm. This provides a balanced feel that is substantial enough for durability while remaining comfortable for everyday wear. Each ring is shaped and finished by hand, so there may be very slight variations, but all are designed to maintain a consistent and comfortable profile.

How can I check my size before ordering?

There are several ways to confirm your size: you can be measured at any jeweller and ask for the internal diameter, order a ring gauge yourself and let us know the result, use a ring that already fits and send it to us, or request one of our free ring sizers at checkout.
