Superconductor Court Shape Ring
A softly rounded court profile brings a traditional silhouette to this unusual engineering material. Graeme makes each ring in our Aberdeenshire workshop from genuine superconductor cable, revealing the intricate copper and titanium-niobium pattern as he shapes and finishes the band.
Genuine superconductor cable
Superconductor material contains titanium-niobium filaments set within a copper matrix. The arrangement visible on the finished ring varies with each cut, so every band has its own pattern.
Rounded court profile and finish
The court shape curves gently across the outside and inside of the ring. Choose polished for brighter reflections or satin for a softer appearance that still shows the material's distinctive structure.
Material and care
The copper-rich material reacts with moisture and handling. We apply a specialist clear protective coating, which may need reapplication over time. Exposed copper can develop a patina, so we recommend this design for occasional or special-occasion wear rather than continuous everyday use. Clean gently with mild soap and water, dry with a soft cloth, and avoid prolonged water exposure and abrasive products.

Preparing superconductor takes longer than our usual making process. Due to the material, this design cannot be engraved. A free ring sizer and tracked UK delivery are included.

What is the best alternative metal for a wedding ring?
There is no single best metal. It depends on your preference for weight, finish and appearance. Titanium is extremely lightweight, Damascus Steel features unique layered patterns, Black Zirconium offers a deep black finish and Stainless Steel provides strength with a classic silver tone. What is the thickness of the ring?
Our rings are crafted with an approximate thickness of 2 mm. This provides a balanced feel that is substantial enough for durability while remaining comfortable for everyday wear. Each ring is shaped and finished by hand, so there may be very slight variations, but all are designed to maintain a consistent and comfortable profile.
How can I check my size before ordering?
There are several ways to confirm your size: you can be measured at any jeweller and ask for the internal diameter, order a ring gauge yourself and let us know the result, use a ring that already fits and send it to us, or request one of our free ring sizers at checkout.

What happens after I place my order?
After you order, we review your details and begin crafting your ring. If anything needs clarifying, we’ll contact you directly. Once complete, your ring is carefully packaged and sent via tracked UK delivery. You’ll receive tracking details as soon as it’s dispatched.
How long does it take to make a ring?
Most rings are ready within 2–3 weeks, but we recommend allowing 4 weeks before your wedding. Need it faster? Just let us know.
Is engraving included?
Engraving is always free. We can add names, dates, or even your own handwriting inside your wedding ring. To know more about handwriting engraving, take a look at this blog. . If the option is showing on the product listing, it is engravable.
Who actually makes my ring?
Every ring is made to order in our Scottish workshop by hand by Graeme, or G as he is known. We don’t outsource production or hold bulk stock. Your ring is crafted individually once your order is placed, then finished, checked and prepared for dispatch.
What are your return policies?
Because each ring is made to order in your chosen size and finish, returns are not available once production begins. We provide a complimentary ring sizer before crafting to ensure a confident fit.
