Titanium Bog Oak Inlay Ring

Crafted from Titanium and set with natural Bog Oak, this ring brings together modern precision and a material shaped over thousands of years beneath the earth. Dark, organic and quietly distinctive, it carries a depth that cannot be replicated. Optional metal accents, including copper, silver or 24ct gold, can be added through the product options.

Bog Oak is among the oldest natural materials used in our collection. Preserved for thousands of years beneath peat-rich, oxygen-poor ground, the wood gradually transforms over time, developing the rich dark tones and unique character that make it so distinctive today.

A material shaped by time

This ring is available using Bog Oak sourced from two historic British locations.

Fenland Bog Oak (England)

Recovered from the ancient Fenlands of eastern England, this Bog Oak originates from oak trees that fell thousands of years ago and were preserved beneath peat-rich wetlands. Over time, minerals within the surrounding landscape gradually darkened the timber, creating the deep brown and black tones associated with traditional Bog Oak.

Ayrshire Bog Oak (Scotland)

Sourced from the historic peatlands of Ayrshire, Scotland, this material shares the same remarkable journey through time. Preserved beneath oxygen-poor peat for thousands of years, it offers a direct connection to Scotland's ancient landscapes while displaying its own subtle grain patterns and natural variation.

Both options carry the same extraordinary history, with each displaying its own unique character, colour variation and grain structure.

Each inlay is created using carefully prepared Bog Oak fragments, placed by hand into a fine 1mm or statement 2mm channel and sealed beneath a clear, durable resin. The surface is polished smooth, while the natural grain and subtle variation remain visible beneath, creating depth without losing refinement.

No two rings will ever be identical. The natural variation within the Bog Oak ensures each piece carries its own character, shaped by time as much as by hand.

Premium accent options

For those looking to add an extra level of detail, premium metal accents are available through the product options.

Fine flakes of genuine 24ct gold, 925 silver or copper can be incorporated into the inlay alongside the Bog Oak, creating subtle contrast and depth while maintaining the natural beauty of the material.

Your choice of finish

Available in either polished or satin finish, this ring can be tailored to suit your preferred style.

A polished finish creates stronger contrast between the Titanium and Bog Oak, while a satin finish offers a softer, more understated appearance.

Titanium built for everyday wear

Titanium is chosen for its exceptional strength, lightweight feel and durability. It is naturally corrosion resistant, hypoallergenic and comfortable to wear throughout the day.

Despite its strength, Titanium remains significantly lighter than many traditional jewellery metals, making it an excellent choice for everyday wear.

Handmade to order

Every ring is handmade by Graeme in our Scottish workshop and crafted specifically to your chosen size.

You can personalise your ring through your choice of Bog Oak source, width, finish, inlay width, accent options and engraving.

Engraving can be added to the inside of the band. When selected, the interior is polished before engraving to ensure a clear inscription and comfortable finish against the skin.

Care

Your ring requires only simple care. Occasional cleaning with mild soap and water, followed by drying with a soft cloth, will keep it looking its best.

Ordering & Making Your Ring

What is the best alternative metal for a wedding ring?

There is no single best metal. It depends on your preference for weight, finish and appearance. Titanium is extremely lightweight, Damascus Steel features unique layered patterns, Black Zirconium offers a deep black finish and Stainless Steel provides strength with a classic silver tone. You can compare all options in our Alternative Metal Wedding Rings Guide.

What is the thickness of the ring?

Our rings are crafted with an approximate thickness of 2 mm. This provides a balanced feel that is substantial enough for durability while remaining comfortable for everyday wear. Each ring is shaped and finished by hand, so there may be very slight variations, but all are designed to maintain a consistent and comfortable profile.

How can I check my size before ordering?

There are several ways to confirm your size: you can be measured at any jeweller and ask for the internal diameter, order a ring gauge yourself and let us know the result, use a ring that already fits and send it to us, or request one of our free ring sizers at checkout.
We’ll confirm any sizing details with you before we begin
