Titanium Ring with Heirloom Precious Metal Inlay

Crafted from Titanium and set with precious metal taken from your own heirloom jewellery, this ring is designed to carry a personal connection forward in a new form. Whether it’s a parent’s wedding band, a grandparent’s band or a piece that holds personal meaning, the original metal becomes part of a new ring handmade for everyday wear.

Each ring is individually crafted in our Scottish workshop by Graeme and made to your exact size.

Your heirloom jewellery is carefully melted and drawn into a fine round wire before being inlaid into the ring by hand. The precious metal sits within a refined 1mm channel, creating a clean and subtle contrast against the Titanium while preserving the story behind the original piece.

Any unused material remaining after the process will be returned to you with your finished ring, whether as remaining wire, offcuts or reclaimed metal.

A carefully considered process

Heirloom jewellery can vary significantly depending on age, alloy composition and previous repairs. Some rings may contain solder joins or mixed alloys that can affect how the metal behaves during the wire drawing process.

While every effort will be made to successfully prepare your material, we cannot guarantee that all heirloom jewellery can be transformed into usable wire. If the process cannot be completed successfully, your material will be returned to you and all but £150 of your order will be refunded to cover workshop time and processing. We will not know before the process if the metal is useable.

Titanium built for everyday wear

Titanium is chosen for its strength, lightweight feel and resilience. It is hypoallergenic, corrosion resistant and designed for everyday wear, offering durability without unnecessary weight.

The contrast between modern Titanium and heirloom precious metal creates a ring that feels both contemporary and deeply personal.

Handmade to order

Each ring is handmade specifically for you with your metal and specifications. You can personalise your ring by selecting your preferred width, finish and engraving. These ring takes approximately 4 weeks to make.

Engraving can be added to the inside of the band.

Ordering & Making Your Ring

What is the best alternative metal for a wedding ring?

There is no single best metal. It depends on your preference for weight, finish and appearance. Titanium is extremely lightweight, Damascus Steel features unique layered patterns, Black Zirconium offers a deep black finish and Stainless Steel provides strength with a classic silver tone. You can compare all options in our Alternative Metal Wedding Rings Guide.

What is the thickness of the ring?

Our rings are crafted with an approximate thickness of 2 mm. This provides a balanced feel that is substantial enough for durability while remaining comfortable for everyday wear. Each ring is shaped and finished by hand, so there may be very slight variations, but all are designed to maintain a consistent and comfortable profile.

How can I check my size before ordering?

There are several ways to confirm your size: you can be measured at any jeweller and ask for the internal diameter, order a ring gauge yourself and let us know the result, use a ring that already fits and send it to us, or request one of our free ring sizers at checkout.
