Annat Vertical Hammered Stainless Steel Ring

The Annat is defined by its distinctive vertical hammered pattern, with individual marks running across the width of the band to create a strongly textured, directional surface.

Each mark is applied by hand by Graeme, creating natural variation in the spacing, depth and shape of the pattern as it travels around the ring. The vertical hammering catches the light across the width of the band, giving the Annat a very different appearance from our rounded Deveron or landscape-style Torridon hammered designs.

Made from solid 316L Sheffield Stainless Steel and handmade to order in our Scottish workshop, every Annat has its own individual pattern.

A Vertical Hammered Pattern

The defining feature of the Annat is the direction of its hammering.

Individual marks run vertically across the width of the band, creating a series of irregular facets around the ring. Because every mark is applied individually, the pattern remains clearly vertical while retaining the natural variation that comes from working the surface by hand.

As the ring moves, the changing facets catch and reflect light differently, emphasising the depth and direction of the hammered surface.

For comparison, our Deveron features rounded hammer marks, while the Torridon uses a horizontal, landscape-style hammered pattern.

Natural variation is part of the Annat design, so your finished ring will have the same overall character as the examples shown without being an exact replica.

Your Choice of Finish

The Annat is available in polished or satin finish, each giving the vertical hammered pattern a different appearance.

A polished finish creates brighter reflections across the individual facets, increasing the contrast and movement within the hammered surface.

A satin finish softens those reflections for a more muted appearance while keeping the vertical pattern clearly visible.

Crafted to Endure

The Annat is made from high-quality 316L Sheffield Stainless Steel, chosen for its strength, corrosion resistance and suitability for everyday wear.

Stainless Steel offers excellent durability while requiring very little maintenance. It will not tarnish and is highly resistant to rust and corrosion under normal everyday conditions.

Like all metals, Stainless Steel will naturally develop surface marks through everyday wear. On the Annat, these tend to blend more readily into the existing hammered texture than they would on a plain polished surface.

Handmade to Order

Every Annat ring is handmade by Graeme in our Scottish workshop and made specifically to your chosen size and finish.

Available in sizes up to Z+6, including half sizes.

Engraving can be added to the inside of the band if selected.

Care

Stainless Steel requires very little maintenance. Clean your ring occasionally using mild soap and warm water before drying thoroughly with a soft cloth.

Avoid harsh chemicals and abrasive cleaning products that may alter the appearance of the finish.

Ordering & Making Your Ring

What is the best alternative metal for a wedding ring?

There is no single best metal. It depends on your preference for weight, finish and appearance. Titanium is extremely lightweight, Damascus Steel features unique layered patterns, Black Zirconium offers a deep black finish and Stainless Steel provides strength with a classic silver tone. You can compare all options in our Alternative Metal Wedding Rings Guide.

What is the thickness of the ring?

Our rings are crafted with an approximate thickness of 2 mm. This provides a balanced feel that is substantial enough for durability while remaining comfortable for everyday wear. Each ring is shaped and finished by hand, so there may be very slight variations, but all are designed to maintain a consistent and comfortable profile.

How can I check my size before ordering?

There are several ways to confirm your size: you can be measured at any jeweller and ask for the internal diameter, order a ring gauge yourself and let us know the result, use a ring that already fits and send it to us, or request one of our free ring sizers at checkout.
We’ll confirm any sizing details with you before we begin

What happens after I place my order?

After you order, we review your details and begin crafting your ring. If anything needs clarifying, we’ll contact you directly. Once complete, your ring is carefully packaged and sent via tracked UK delivery. You’ll receive tracking details as soon as it’s dispatched.

How long does it take to make a ring?

Most rings are ready within 2–3 weeks, but we recommend allowing 4 weeks before your wedding. Need it faster? Just let us know.

Is engraving included?

Engraving is always free. We can add names, dates, or even your own handwriting inside your wedding ring. To know more about handwriting engraving, take a look at this blog. . If the option is showing on the product listing, it is engravable.

Who actually makes my ring?

Every ring is made to order in our Scottish workshop by hand by Graeme, or G as he is known. We don’t outsource production or hold bulk stock. Your ring is crafted individually once your order is placed, then finished, checked and prepared for dispatch.

What are your return policies?
