Deveron Rounded Hammered Stainless Steel Ring
The Deveron is defined by its distinctive rounded hammered pattern, with individual marks worked across the surface to create an irregular, naturally textured finish.
Each ring is hammered by hand by Graeme, creating subtle variation in the size, depth and position of the marks as they travel around the band. Unlike the directional patterns of our Annat and Torridon rings, the Deveron uses rounded hammer marks to create texture across the surface without a strong horizontal or vertical direction.
Made from solid 316L Sheffield Stainless Steel and handmade to order in our Scottish workshop, every Deveron develops its own individual pattern.
A Rounded Hammered Pattern
The defining feature of the Deveron is its rounded hammering.
Individual marks are applied across the surface of the ring, creating overlapping rounded facets that catch the light from different directions. Because every mark is applied by hand, their size, depth and position naturally vary around the band.
For comparison, our Annat features vertical hammer marks running across the width of the band, while the Torridon uses a horizontal, landscape-style hammered pattern.
This makes the Deveron the less directional of the three designs, with the rounded marks creating an irregular texture across the entire surface.
Natural variation is part of the Deveron design, so your finished ring will have the same overall character as the examples shown without being an exact replica.
Flat Profile
The Deveron is made with a flat outer profile, providing a clean surface for the rounded hammered pattern.
The straight profile allows the changing depth and shape of the individual marks to provide the visual detail without additional grooves or shaping.
Your Choice of Finish
The Deveron is available in polished or satin finish, each changing how the rounded hammered pattern responds to light.
A polished finish creates brighter reflections across the individual facets, emphasising the variation and depth within the hammered surface.
A satin finish softens those reflections for a more muted appearance while keeping the individual rounded marks clearly visible.
Crafted to Endure
The Deveron is made from high-quality 316L Sheffield Stainless Steel, chosen for its strength, corrosion resistance and suitability for everyday wear.
Stainless Steel offers excellent durability while requiring very little maintenance. It will not tarnish and is highly resistant to rust and corrosion under normal everyday conditions.
Like all metals, Stainless Steel will naturally develop surface marks through everyday wear. On the Deveron, these tend to blend more readily into the existing hammered texture than they would on a plain polished surface.
Handmade to Order
Every Deveron ring is handmade by Graeme in our Scottish workshop and made specifically to your chosen size and finish.
Available in sizes up to Z+6, including half sizes.
Engraving can be added to the inside of the band if selected.
Care
Stainless Steel requires very little maintenance. Clean your ring occasionally using mild soap and warm water before drying thoroughly with a soft cloth.
Avoid harsh chemicals and abrasive cleaning products that may alter the appearance of the finish.

What is the best alternative metal for a wedding ring?
There is no single best metal. It depends on your preference for weight, finish and appearance. Titanium is extremely lightweight, Damascus Steel features unique layered patterns, Black Zirconium offers a deep black finish and Stainless Steel provides strength with a classic silver tone. What is the thickness of the ring?
Our rings are crafted with an approximate thickness of 2 mm. This provides a balanced feel that is substantial enough for durability while remaining comfortable for everyday wear. Each ring is shaped and finished by hand, so there may be very slight variations, but all are designed to maintain a consistent and comfortable profile.
How can I check my size before ordering?
There are several ways to confirm your size: you can be measured at any jeweller and ask for the internal diameter, order a ring gauge yourself and let us know the result, use a ring that already fits and send it to us, or request one of our free ring sizers at checkout.

What happens after I place my order?
After you order, we review your details and begin crafting your ring. If anything needs clarifying, we’ll contact you directly. Once complete, your ring is carefully packaged and sent via tracked UK delivery. You’ll receive tracking details as soon as it’s dispatched.
How long does it take to make a ring?
Most rings are ready within 2–3 weeks, but we recommend allowing 4 weeks before your wedding. Need it faster? Just let us know.
Is engraving included?
Engraving is always free. We can add names, dates, or even your own handwriting inside your wedding ring. To know more about handwriting engraving, take a look at this blog. . If the option is showing on the product listing, it is engravable.
Who actually makes my ring?
Every ring is made to order in our Scottish workshop by hand by Graeme, or G as he is known. We don’t outsource production or hold bulk stock. Your ring is crafted individually once your order is placed, then finished, checked and prepared for dispatch.
What are your return policies?
Because each ring is made to order in your chosen size and finish, returns are not available once production begins. We provide a complimentary ring sizer before crafting to ensure a confident fit.
