Bannock Burn Stainless Steel Ring
The Bannock Burn is a solid Stainless Steel ring defined by a raised central section and two open grooves running around the band. The grooves create clean definition across the surface without introducing another material, giving the ring a structured appearance while keeping the design entirely Stainless Steel.
Available in either polished or satin finish, the Bannock Burn can be given a bright, reflective appearance or a softer, more understated look. The raised centre and recessed grooves allow the profile to remain clearly defined in either finish.
Handmade to order by Graeme in our Scottish workshop, each Bannock Burn is individually made to your chosen size and width.
A Distinctive Stainless Steel Profile
The Bannock Burn features a raised central section bordered by two narrow open grooves.
Rather than being filled with an inlay material, the grooves remain open and form part of the Stainless Steel design itself. This creates depth and separation across the surface while retaining the simplicity of a single-metal ring.
Available in widths from 4mm to 8mm, the proportions of the ring can be chosen to suit your preferred look and feel.
Your Choice of Finish
Choose between polished or satin finish.
A polished finish gives the Stainless Steel a bright, reflective appearance and emphasises the definition between the raised centre and recessed grooves.
A satin finish creates a softer, low-shine appearance, allowing the structured profile to remain visible while giving the ring a more understated overall look.
Like all metals, Stainless Steel can develop fine surface marks through everyday wear. Satin finishes generally disguise these more readily than highly polished surfaces.

The Bannock Burn is made from high-quality 316L Stainless Steel, chosen for its strength, corrosion resistance and suitability for everyday wear.
Stainless Steel has a reassuring weight on the hand and offers excellent durability while requiring very little maintenance. It will not tarnish and is highly resistant to rust and corrosion under normal everyday conditions.

Every Bannock Burn ring is handmade by Graeme in our Scottish workshop and made specifically to your chosen size, width and finish.
Available in sizes up to Z+6, including half sizes.
Engraving can be added to the inside of the band if selected.
Care
Stainless Steel requires very little maintenance. Clean your ring occasionally using mild soap and warm water before drying thoroughly with a soft cloth.
Avoid harsh chemicals and abrasive cleaning products, particularly on polished surfaces.

What is the best alternative metal for a wedding ring?
There is no single best metal. It depends on your preference for weight, finish and appearance. Titanium is extremely lightweight, Damascus Steel features unique layered patterns, Black Zirconium offers a deep black finish and Stainless Steel provides strength with a classic silver tone. What is the thickness of the ring?
Our rings are crafted with an approximate thickness of 2 mm. This provides a balanced feel that is substantial enough for durability while remaining comfortable for everyday wear. Each ring is shaped and finished by hand, so there may be very slight variations, but all are designed to maintain a consistent and comfortable profile.
How can I check my size before ordering?
There are several ways to confirm your size: you can be measured at any jeweller and ask for the internal diameter, order a ring gauge yourself and let us know the result, use a ring that already fits and send it to us, or request one of our free ring sizers at checkout.

What happens after I place my order?
After you order, we review your details and begin crafting your ring. If anything needs clarifying, we’ll contact you directly. Once complete, your ring is carefully packaged and sent via tracked UK delivery. You’ll receive tracking details as soon as it’s dispatched.
How long does it take to make a ring?
Most rings are ready within 2–3 weeks, but we recommend allowing 4 weeks before your wedding. Need it faster? Just let us know.
Is engraving included?
Engraving is always free. We can add names, dates, or even your own handwriting inside your wedding ring. To know more about handwriting engraving, take a look at this blog. . If the option is showing on the product listing, it is engravable.
Who actually makes my ring?
Every ring is made to order in our Scottish workshop by hand by Graeme, or G as he is known. We don’t outsource production or hold bulk stock. Your ring is crafted individually once your order is placed, then finished, checked and prepared for dispatch.
What are your return policies?
Because each ring is made to order in your chosen size and finish, returns are not available once production begins. We provide a complimentary ring sizer before crafting to ensure a confident fit.
