Damascus Steel Ring with Black Zirconium Liner

This ring brings together two exceptional materials, combining the flowing character of Damascus Steel with the striking contrast of a Black Zirconium liner. The result is a design that feels modern, understated and unmistakably individual, revealing its hidden detail every time it is removed from the hand.

Handmade to order in our Scottish workshop, each ring is individually crafted by Graeme and finished by hand.

Choose your Damascus pattern

This ring is available in six distinctive Damascus steel patterns, each offering its own character and movement.

Not sure which Damascus pattern is right for you? We have created a dedicated guide explaining the differences between Esk, Bervie, Crynoch, Findon, Cowie and Dee, complete with photos and pattern comparisons.

Read our Damascus Pattern Guide HERE

Findon features clean, linear grain with a traditional Damascus appearance.

Crynoch introduces flowing movement through a gentle twist in the steel.

Esk offers a tighter, more detailed grain with intricate pattern density.

Bervie showcases our most condensed Damascus pattern, creating strong visual detail throughout.

Dee features irregular concentric circles that form naturally throughout the steel.

Cowie presents a more structured concentric pattern with consistent circular formations.

No two Damascus rings will ever be identical. Natural variation within the steel ensures every piece carries its own character and detail.

A hidden contrast

The outer band is crafted from genuine Damascus Steel, while the interior is precision fitted with a solid Black Zirconium liner.

Through a carefully controlled heat treatment process, the Zirconium develops its rich black surface, creating a striking contrast against the layered Damascus steel. The result is a design that reveals an unexpected detail each time the ring is removed, adding another level of craftsmanship without distracting from the clean exterior.

Choose your profile

This ring is available in your choice of court or flat profile.

The court profile features gentle curves on both the inside and outside of the ring, creating one of the most comfortable styles available for everyday wear.

The flat profile offers clean contemporary lines with a bold, modern appearance while maintaining excellent comfort.

Your choice of finish

Available in either polished or satin finish, this ring can be tailored to suit your personal style.

A polished finish enhances the contrast within the Damascus pattern while a satin finish softens the surface with a fine brushed texture, creating a more understated look.

Crafted to endure

Each ring is created using a high-quality blend of 304L and 316L stainless steels together with genuine Black Zirconium.

The Damascus steel is completely nickel free, suitable for sensitive skin and designed for everyday wear. Combined with the durability and lightweight nature of Black Zirconium, the result is a ring built to be worn comfortably for years to come.

Handmade to order

Every ring is handmade by Graeme in our Scottish workshop and crafted specifically to your chosen size.

You can personalise your ring through your choice of Damascus pattern, profile, finish, width and engraving.

Engraving can be added to the inside of the Black Zirconium liner. When selected, the interior is polished before engraving to ensure a crisp inscription and comfortable finish against the skin.

Care

Your ring requires only simple care. Occasional cleaning with mild soap and water and drying with a soft cloth will keep it looking its best.

Ordering & Making Your Ring

What is the best alternative metal for a wedding ring?

There is no single best metal. It depends on your preference for weight, finish and appearance. Titanium is extremely lightweight, Damascus Steel features unique layered patterns, Black Zirconium offers a deep black finish and Stainless Steel provides strength with a classic silver tone. You can compare all options in our Alternative Metal Wedding Rings Guide.

What is the thickness of the ring?

Our rings are crafted with an approximate thickness of 2 mm. This provides a balanced feel that is substantial enough for durability while remaining comfortable for everyday wear. Each ring is shaped and finished by hand, so there may be very slight variations, but all are designed to maintain a consistent and comfortable profile.

How can I check my size before ordering?

There are several ways to confirm your size: you can be measured at any jeweller and ask for the internal diameter, order a ring gauge yourself and let us know the result, use a ring that already fits and send it to us, or request one of our free ring sizers at checkout.
We’ll confirm any sizing details with you before we begin

What happens after I place my order?

After you order, we review your details and begin crafting your ring. If anything needs clarifying, we’ll contact you directly. Once complete, your ring is carefully packaged and sent via tracked UK delivery. You’ll receive tracking details as soon as it’s dispatched.

How long does it take to make a ring?

Most rings are ready within 2–3 weeks, but we recommend allowing 4 weeks before your wedding. Need it faster? Just let us know.

Is engraving included?

Engraving is always free. We can add names, dates, or even your own handwriting inside your wedding ring. To know more about handwriting engraving, take a look at this blog. . If the option is showing on the product listing, it is engravable.

Who actually makes my ring?

Every ring is made to order in our Scottish workshop by hand by Graeme, or G as he is known. We don’t outsource production or hold bulk stock. Your ring is crafted individually once your order is placed, then finished, checked and prepared for dispatch.

What are your return policies?

Because each ring is made to order in your chosen size and finish, returns are not available once production begins. We provide a complimentary ring sizer before crafting to ensure a confident fit.
