Made Together – Pair of Damascus Steel & Precious Metal Wedding Rings

Two rings, designed together but made for two different people. Our Made Together Damascus Steel wedding ring pair gives you the freedom to choose every detail of each band, from the Damascus pattern and shape to the precious metal inlay. They can be matching wedding rings, subtly coordinated bands or two entirely different designs that share the same craftsmanship.

Both rings are handmade to order by Graeme in our Aberdeenshire workshop. Each features a 1mm precious metal inlay set into patterned Damascus steel, with the size, width, profile, finish and engraving chosen separately for each wearer.

What is included in your ring pair?

The starting price includes two standard-width Damascus steel rings, each with a 1mm silver inlay. You can keep silver in both bands or upgrade either ring individually to another precious metal. The price will reflect the selections you make.

Each ring can be configured independently. That means you can choose the same Damascus pattern in different widths, use the same precious metal in two different designs, or select entirely different combinations. There is no need for one ring to dictate the other.

Choose your Damascus steel patterns

Our six Damascus patterns give each band its own character. Esk has closely packed, twisted grain; Bervie is our most condensed pattern; and Crynoch has a softer, flowing twist. Findon features straighter, linear detail, while Cowie shows structured concentric circles and Dee offers more irregular circular formations.

The layered steel is etched to reveal its pattern, creating natural variations from one ring to the next. You might choose the same pattern for both bands as a shared detail, or select the designs that appeal to each of you individually.

Six precious metals, two independent choices

Each ring has a fine 1mm inlay of your chosen precious metal. Options are Silver, Palladium, Platinum, 18ct Yellow Gold, 18ct Rose Gold and 18ct White Gold. A matching metal can connect the two rings visually even if you choose different Damascus patterns or profiles. Alternatively, choose a different precious metal in each band to suit your individual preferences.

Graeme machines the inlay channel and personally fits the precious metal into each Damascus steel ring. The narrow metal line brings contrast to the etched steel without hiding the pattern.

Choose each ring's width, profile and finish

Both rings are available in widths from 4mm to 8mm. Choose a narrower band for a finer appearance or a wider band to show more of the Damascus grain. Each person can select their own width rather than compromising on a matching size.

You can also choose the profile of each ring independently. A Court profile has a gently rounded, traditional silhouette, while a Flat profile gives a straighter, more contemporary shape.

Finish each ring in polished or satin steel. Polished gives the surface brighter reflections, while satin offers a softer appearance. Matching finishes can bring two otherwise different rings together, but the choice is entirely yours.

Made individually, together in our Scottish workshop

Graeme makes and finishes both rings from layered 304L and 316L stainless steels, working to the sizes and specifications selected for each person. He prepares the channels, fits the precious metal inlays and completes the finish in our workshop. Both rings are crafted together in our Scottish workshop, bringing your chosen details into one beautifully coordinated pair.

Personal engraving on both rings

Standard internal engraving is included for both rings if selected, and you can choose a different inscription for each band. If you choose engraving, we polish away the etched Damascus pattern on the inside of the relevant ring to create a smooth surface for the inscription. The Damascus pattern on the outside remains unchanged.

Confirming both ring sizes

A free ring sizer is available before making begins, so you can confirm both sizes. We recommend checking with our sizer even if you already know your usual sizes, as the width and profile of a band can influence the fit.

Delivery and care

Free tracked UK delivery is included with your pair. To care for the rings, clean gently with mild soap and warm water, then dry thoroughly with a soft cloth.
