The Superconductor Obsidian Cut Ring is a rare fusion of science and craftsmanship — handmade from a solid piece of Superconductor cable. With every slice revealing a striking web of copper and titanium-niobium rods, this ring is as unique as the material it’s born from. No two will ever be alike.
Uniquely Patterned and One of a Kind
Each ring is individually machined and finished by G in our Scottish workshop. The cable is angled, cut, and acid-treated to bring out the natural contrast between the embedded rods and copper core. Every ring tells its own story, with distinctive patterns and depth that can never be repeated.
Coated for Comfort and Care
Because Superconductor contains a high copper content, we coat each ring in a protective varnish to act as a barrier against skin reactions. This layer may wear over time, so we include details of the coating we use, allowing you to reapply it if needed. The ring may also develop a natural patina — a unique feature, not a flaw.
Not for Everyday Wear
Due to the reactive nature of copper, we don’t recommend this ring for daily use. It’s a statement piece, ideal for occasional wear, and should be treated with care to maintain its distinctive look. This style is not suitable for engraving.
A Fusion of Art and Industry
Superconductor cable is used in high-magnetic field applications like MRI machines and particle accelerators. Though never intended for jewellery, it finds new life in our hands. This ring brings together raw scientific material with traditional craftsmanship for something truly extraordinary.

How can I check my size before ordering?
There are several ways to confirm your size: you can be measured at any jeweller and ask for the internal diameter, order a ring gauge yourself and let us know the result, use a ring that already fits and send it to us, or request one of our free ring sizers at checkout.
How long does it take to make a ring?
Most rings are ready within 2–3 weeks, but we recommend allowing 4 weeks before your wedding. Need it faster? Just let us know.
Is engraving included?
Engraving is always free. We can add names, dates, or even your own handwriting inside your wedding ring.
