Titanium Ring with Black Zirconium Liner

Two metals, mechanically joined to create a single ring.

This Titanium ring features a solid Black Zirconium inner liner fitted inside a Titanium outer band. The two components are joined using a precision interference fit, creating a permanent mechanical connection without the use of adhesives.

From the outside, the ring has the clean appearance of solid Titanium. Turn it over and the polished Black Zirconium liner creates a deep black contrast through the inside of the band and along the edges.

Handmade to order by Graeme in our Scottish workshop, each ring is individually machined and fitted to your chosen size.

Black Zirconium Liner

The inner liner is made from solid Zirconium which is heat treated to create its distinctive deep black surface.

Unlike a coating or plating, the black surface is created by transforming the outer layer of the Zirconium itself into a hard ceramic oxide. This gives Black Zirconium its characteristic dark appearance while retaining solid Zirconium beneath.

Set against the natural grey tone of Titanium, the liner creates a strong contrast without introducing an inlay or decorative resin.

Precision Interference Fit

The Titanium outer band and Black Zirconium liner are individually machined before being mechanically joined using an interference fit.

This process relies on extremely precise tolerances between the two components, allowing them to lock securely together without glue, resin or mechanical fasteners.

The finished ring has a slightly more substantial profile of approximately 2.2mm due to its two-metal construction.

Your Choice of Profile

Choose between Court or Flat profile.

Court has a gently curved outer surface, creating a more traditional ring shape.

Flat has a straight outer surface with clean edges, giving the ring a more contemporary appearance.

Your Choice of Finish

Choose between polished or satin matt Titanium for the outer band.

A polished finish creates a smooth, reflective surface and stronger visual contrast against the black liner.

A satin matt finish has a softer, low-shine appearance for a more understated look.

The Black Zirconium interior is polished to create a smooth finish against the finger.

Titanium Built for Everyday Wear

Titanium is lightweight, strong and naturally corrosion resistant, making it particularly well suited to everyday wear.

It will not rust or tarnish and provides excellent durability without unnecessary weight. Like all metals, Titanium can develop surface marks through normal wear, with satin finishes generally disguising these more readily than polished surfaces.

Handmade to Order

Every Titanium and Black Zirconium Liner Ring is handmade by Graeme in our Scottish workshop and individually machined to your chosen size, profile and finish.

Engraving can be added to the inside of the Black Zirconium liner if selected.

Care

Titanium and Black Zirconium require very little maintenance. Clean your ring occasionally using mild soap and warm water before drying thoroughly with a soft cloth.

Avoid abrasive cleaning products, particularly on the Black Zirconium surface.

Ordering & Making Your Ring

What is the best alternative metal for a wedding ring?

There is no single best metal. It depends on your preference for weight, finish and appearance. Titanium is extremely lightweight, Damascus Steel features unique layered patterns, Black Zirconium offers a deep black finish and Stainless Steel provides strength with a classic silver tone. You can compare all options in our Alternative Metal Wedding Rings Guide.

What is the thickness of the ring?

Our rings are crafted with an approximate thickness of 2 mm. This provides a balanced feel that is substantial enough for durability while remaining comfortable for everyday wear. Each ring is shaped and finished by hand, so there may be very slight variations, but all are designed to maintain a consistent and comfortable profile.

How can I check my size before ordering?

There are several ways to confirm your size: you can be measured at any jeweller and ask for the internal diameter, order a ring gauge yourself and let us know the result, use a ring that already fits and send it to us, or request one of our free ring sizers at checkout.
We’ll confirm any sizing details with you before we begin

What happens after I place my order?

After you order, we review your details and begin crafting your ring. If anything needs clarifying, we’ll contact you directly. Once complete, your ring is carefully packaged and sent via tracked UK delivery. You’ll receive tracking details as soon as it’s dispatched.

How long does it take to make a ring?

Most rings are ready within 2–3 weeks, but we recommend allowing 4 weeks before your wedding. Need it faster? Just let us know.

Is engraving included?

Engraving is always free. We can add names, dates, or even your own handwriting inside your wedding ring. To know more about handwriting engraving, take a look at this blog. . If the option is showing on the product listing, it is engravable.

Who actually makes my ring?

Every ring is made to order in our Scottish workshop by hand by Graeme, or G as he is known. We don’t outsource production or hold bulk stock. Your ring is crafted individually once your order is placed, then finished, checked and prepared for dispatch.

What are your return policies?

Because each ring is made to order in your chosen size and finish, returns are not available once production begins. We provide a complimentary ring sizer before crafting to ensure a confident fit.
